Trendy Trees

So, can anyone tell me how to use this set of stamps from Stampin' Up! without wanting to throw them out of the window? I'm feeling quite tired and exhausted lately, so it probably wasn't the best time to try to master using these stamps for the first time, but I thought they looked quite easy, right? Wrong. But i'm hoping someone will share with me on here that actually they are very easy and I've just been doing it wrong, and then I can get lots of use out of my new set!

I tried to stamp the trunks first, and then the foliage on top but I couldn't get them to line up right. So then I tried to stamp the foliage, then the trunk. No joy. How do stamp these two so that they line up perfectly, like I've seen others do? Please let me know as I was getting very annoyed with myself! And I hate to waste so much card in my attempts.

I'm moving onto my heart/valentine's set for now until someone informs me otherwise...
And I must update this blog with new links of the sites that I follow, and my personal information etc - feel free to point me in the direction of any fab sites for inspiration, I need new ones too. x

Hello Jenny,
You need a stamp-a-ma-jig to use this set to it's full potential, they are on page 90 of the current catty,
I hope this is a help and have fun ;0)

Have you got a stamp-a-ma-jig Jenny, thats the ONLY way to make sure the stamps line up EVERY time. Your demo will be able to sort you out with one if you don't have one.

Best wishes

You need to use a stamp-a-ma-jig :o) It enables you to align all your stamps perfectly and is particularly useful for the 2 step stamp sets like the Trendy Trees HTH

I have used them the other week at a workshop and once you get the hang of them they are really easy to use - but you do need a stamp a ma jig as you have to match the trunk to the foliage. the top row and the middle one go with the trunk with 2 branches and the other tree with the trunk with 6 branches. We stamped the trunk first then with one of did the 'foliage' using bold brights. Please don't dispair best wishes Lesley x

You just need a stamp positioner - such as the fab Stampin. Up! Stamp A Ma Jig. And then it all becomes very easy to line up!

Just google Stamp A Ma Jig for many many tips, tutorials and video tutorials

I use a cunning little gadget called a Stamp-a-ma jig from SU - it allows you to possition your images exactly where you want them :-)

Your demo will be able to get you one ...

One word for help with your Trendy Trees .. . . Stamp-a-ma-jig! You can try the bending your head down at a really awkward angle to watch the second stamp from underneath as it descends on the first stamped image, but the Stamp-a-ma-jig is more reliable!

Hi Jenny, have you tried using the Stamp-a-mag-jig? It allows you to line them up perfectly then stamp in the correct place. I love this set, it's so versatile, I hope you get on with it! :D

You need to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig with this set of stamps. Ask the demonstrator you got the stamps from, SU sell them.
